I have this wonderful apron that was my great grandmother's. My great grandmother was born in 1891 and I was blessed to have spent a lot of time with her when I was a pre-teen in the late 1960's and 70's. I remember asking her when I was probably 9 or so if she wore a dress everyday. She said "oh this old thing it is just my house dress or work dress". I remember her wearing a house dress in the prettiest softest calico and a lovely calico apron over it much like a pinafore. I always loved the feel of her aprons which she made herself probably when she was a young wife in the early 1920's. I am now excited to find a pattern to make some of these
